Monthly Trend:
Connected.
If there’s one thing that defines the era we live in, it’s connectivity. Never before have we been more interconnected across all aspects of life. Technology has effectively shrunk the world, ushering in a truly globalized society. From a human perspective, our era has grappled with and continues to confront challenges like Covid and climate change that bind us as a species. What occurs in the farthest corners of the planet has ripple effects throughout the rest of the world. Humanity shares a common destiny, transcending national boundaries, for better or for worse.
External Connectivity
Design, in response to this new interconnectedness with the world, offers solutions that facilitate connectivity on every level. It aims to create spaces that foster unity, ones that are flexible and dynamic, prioritizing interaction among people. These are intermediate spaces, open to any use or none at all, characterized by clean lines, defined planes, soft curves, and arches. The color palette is composed of flat colors like deep blue, earthy tile, and forest green. This design embraces formal simplification, stylization, and flat surfaces.
Internal Connectivity
This profound sense of connectivity is mirrored in the use of ceramic elements as sources of sensory stimulation. Beyond their technical function, the objective is to craft vibrant and intimate spaces that deeply connect with users, transcending mere aesthetics. These spaces become personal realms where individuals feel safe and protected, free to be themselves, akin to places in their own minds. It’s a space that exists between dreams and wakefulness, bridging the gap between internal and external realms, where our inner selves seek to connect with the subconscious.
Get into Action.
Dreams, subconscious imagery, magic, and the dream world play a prominent role in the product’s aesthetics. It features a somewhat restrained surrealistic style and incorporates the increasingly prevalent home automation elements into housing design. The focus is on versatility, and adaptability with a multiformat approach, ranging from large slabs to small formats, which is ideal for meeting diverse demands. The textures are seamlessly integrated monochromes, exuding a soft and harmonious feel.
