This month we explore the interaction of luminosity and matter in space generation; a space where light permeates everything, revealing the unique qualities of each part of the whole.
Light expresses itself symbolically through its interaction with material, constructing space and endowing it with a richer and deeper meaning. We previously discussed the concept of dwelling as a sacred space, dedicated to introspection and retreat. Light now brings it closer to this enigmatic and evanescent concept. Luxury is expressed in this idea with its most enigmatic facet. A luxury that is achieved with the sum of individual nuances.
Backlit marble.
One manifestation of this encounter between light and matter is transparency. Here, lighting filters through the marble itself, highlighting its composition and natural depth (veining, crystallization). The effect is that of a subtle, faint, evanescent atmosphere… The resulting spaces are enigmatic yet at the same time warm and welcoming, filtered by the phosphorescence of the material itself.
The scene is characterized by diffuse light that comes from everywhere without dazzling or revealing its origin.
Architecture of light.
The ceramic surface is at the service of architecture, exploiting all its luminous qualities. It shines on different surfaces, and these react in completely different ways. Sometimes they reflect the light, returning it tinged with color; at other times, it reveals material qualities that enrich the composition, such as in the case of metallic, coppery shines or diamond-like reflections. The relief adds infinite creative and compositional possibilities to a reflective surface.
Light permeates everything, but each part of the whole reacts to it in a unique way, contributing its individual value to the ensemble.

Pay special attention to the interaction of the product and the lighting when achieving a global effect.
The highlighted feature is the backlit marbles to enhance their depth. They are generally placed in a mirror arrangement to reinforce the visual idea of irradiation.
Integrate light in the design conceptualization phase, taking into account its response to illumination. Surface and lighting collaborate when conceiving space. Defined planes whose qualities are enhanced by lighting.
Concept of soft and delocalized light, turning the whole into a theatrical, dramatic, and quasi-sacred scene, in which light filters through everywhere, suggesting a hidden space beyond the four walls.
